Born in Kraków, Poland, Sara Viorne was immersed in creative pursuits from a young age and she has been painting since childhood. This early exposure to the arts laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for creativity. As a kid, she was surrounded by classical music and the electronic soundscapes of Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarre. While initially finding these sounds unsettling, frightening and terrifying, she was simultaneously fascinated by them – a paradox that continues to shape her creative spirit.
A pivotal moment in her life arrived during her time in a fine arts middle school after being captivated by the raw energy of The Rolling Stones.
The influence of Keith Richards inspired her to embrace the guitar. The introduction to Led Zeppelin in her teen years, marked another significant milestone in her musical development. The guitar quickly became a central focus. With Led Zeppelin's third album, she developed a deep appreciation for British folk music, especially the work of Bert Jansch. This subsequently resulted in her being awarded a music scholarship from the Bert Jansch Foundation in 2018.
Alongside music, Sara's artistic development included painting studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (graduated in 2025) and a residency at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, where she further expanded her creative horizons. During her studies, she also cultivated a strong interest in cinema. In addition, so far she had five solo exhibitions, notably one at the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow during Museum Night. She is a laureate of both national and international art competitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Poland and abroad.
Her artistic endeavors reflect a dynamic interplay between visual and sonic exploration, demonstrating a commitment to both the music and fine arts.
In 2025 and 2026, Sara Viorne will release singles featuring her original compositions from her debut album which will feature a British folk-inspired soundscape centered around the acoustic guitar.
