"Tune 1" from the upcoming album "How it carves the glass," is officially out now!
The upcoming album How it carves the glass is an exploration of how external forces, much like a river's current, shape our inner landscape. The title of the album serves as a central metaphor for how our experiences—both the beautiful and the challenging—sculpt our souls and define our character. Glass represents our essence and unique perspective, a lens through which we view the world, which is both shaped by and shapes our experiences—For this journey is not a passive process. It’s an interactive one, where we don’t just watch as we are shaped by the world around us—we also consciously and subconsciously shape it in return. This mutual process of giving and receiving, of carving and being carved, is at the very core of this project. As Goethe once expressed, the artist desires to be both the enchanter and the enchanted.
For the creation of this album, I was deeply inspired by the unique style of Led Zeppelin and groundbreaking work of Bert Jansch. Their influence on my musical journey cannot be overstated. I am profoundly grateful for the support from the Bert Jansch Foundation, which has been an invaluable part of my artistic development.
The album's first single, "Tune 1," is a lyrical-less instrumental composition for acoustic guitar that captures the album's central themes. A sincere thank you to Spencer Cozens for his incredible work on mixing and mastering this track. His contribution helped define the final sound of "Tune 1".
With this project, I hope to explore the duality of being both sensitive to life's currents and powerful in our response to them.
